Everlasting Arms

It is a great comfort, especially during fiery trials, to know that our Lord’s arms are underneath us, and that they will always be underneath us, because they are everlasting arms!  They are arms that will never weaken or grow tired and weary—they will always be strong enough to hold us. They are arms that will never let us go—They are continually and securely underneath us.  They are arms that will comfort us and give us rest from fears and anxieties.  These everlasting arms belong to our eternal God; therefore, be encouraged and reminded that they are underneath every child of His.  He is strong enough to carry us, and as the poem Footprints in the Sand so wonderfully expresses it, He picks us up and carries us in our most difficult times.  

The devil wants us to believe that God has left us in our most trying times, but remember he is the father of lies, and Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.  The truth is, the Lord has got a hold of you, and He doesn’t intend to let you go. He securely held Dr. Williams through all of his trials, and as he testified to that fact countless numbers of people were encouraged and helped in their own trials. We felt those loving everlasting arms in 2024 during my husband’s health decline, and I can testify that those everlasting arms are strong, loving, tender, and secure. Deuteronomy 33:27 is a good reminder of what is true—The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.  

In every season of our life—all who are in Christ—those everlasting arms are securely underneath us, and they will never let us go.  There may be someone who is reading this who hasn’t received Jesus Christ as their Savior, or someone who isn’t sure that they are His and Heaven will be their home.  I want you to know that Jesus Christ loves you, and His arms are stretched out to you.  You can be saved today, because the Bible says, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.—Romans 10:9, 10 & 13.  If there is someone you know who needs to be encouraged today with the truth that the everlasting arms of our eternal God is underneath them, then please share this with them.
