"Men ought always to pray."
Dr. Tom Williams, an evangelist, had long been known to many as a man of prayer. Through the loss of his first wife and their baby girl, the 28.5-year trial of his second wife’s battle with bacterial meningitis before she was called home to Heaven, and countless other hardships, God has faithfully taught Dr. Williams the importance of having a prayer life, not just a prayer time. Throughout Scripture, the Lord constantly stresses the necessity of prayer. Jesus said in Luke 18:1 (KJV), “that men ought always to pray.” The Apostle Paul also encouraged believers in Philippians 4:6 (KJV) to “be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” The Bible also teaches that prayer has a twin sister — faith. The Lord Jesus said to the man in Mark 9:23 (KJV), “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” And again in Mark 11:24 (KJV), “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
"kneel in Place
of a meal"
A heartfelt call from Dr. Tom Williams urging Christians to fast one meal on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and pray for America’s spiritual healing. Through the “Kneel in Place of a Meal” initiative, believers are encouraged to humble themselves, seek God’s face, and pray for the nation’s revival, following the example of Nehemiah and the promise of 2 Chronicles 7:14.
