Sing
My husband and I would sing hymns driving to church on Sunday mornings when we were home, or we would sing as we were driving across the country from meeting to meeting. We also sang in our home together. He loved to praise the Lord in song! Neither one of us could sing a lick, but we sure were able to “make a joyful noise unto the Lord.” Listen to Dr. Williams sing in this Facing Tomorrow Segment: Singing praises to the Lord is so healthy. It refreshes our spirit, turns ou

Abiding Peace
As a follower of Jesus Christ, we have a peace that passes understanding; a peace that remains regardless of our circumstances. Our outward circumstances may change, but the peace of God never changes. In the midst of uncertainty, upheaval, or unrest due to certain circumstances in our lives, we can still have that undisturbed peace within. It is a peace that enfolds us like a cozy warm blanket wrapped around us on cold winter days. Click to listen to this segment: I have

Never Alone
My husband was full of joy, fun, energy, and exuberance and being married to him was a life of adventure. When he left for Heaven, he left quite a vacant spot, and the ache of missing him has been overwhelming. I, at times, “felt” alone. I know that some can be in a room full of people and “feel” alone. I can’t say that I ever have experienced that, but the aloneness I have felt after my dear husband departed has been massive. We literally did just about everything together.

Confidence in God
Fear doesn’t have to render us unable or incapable of moving forward with our life task at hand, but it certainly is able to do just that. Fear is a real enemy of our confidence in God. The Lord has given us so many promises in the Bible on which we can stand and face fear with courage through the power of the Holy Spirit. “And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”--Deu

Going to the Curb
When my husband preached on the subject of Faith, he often used the illustration of what he called, Going to the Curb . One time as he and his wife, Pam, along with her caregiver were being driven to the airport by a man who worked for him, Dr. Williams pulled off his suit coat. At the airport he checked their bags with the sky cap, said good-bye to his driver, and proceeded into the airport with his wife and her caregiver. Arriving at the security check point, he realized

He's Able
Click the button above to hear a short clip of Dr. Williams' sermon, Don't Build Little. Ephesians 3:20 tells us God is able. Jeremiah 32:17 tells us that nothing is too hard for God. My husband constantly encouraged God’s people to believe that God is able. His preaching and teaching were continually challenging us to think BIG when we go to God, and ask BIG! I can hear him saying right now, Don’t think little when you think of Almighty God, believe that He is able to d

I'd Rather Have Jesus
This year I haven’t had the same “child like” excitement for the Christmas season. The one I shared it with for 18 years of marriage isn’t here to share it with me, which has dimmed the.sparkle and joy. It was difficult for me to put up the Christmas tree, because my beloved husband wasn’t here to do it with me. His enjoyment of hanging candy canes on the tree and directing me as to where they needed to be placed was absent. My Christmas tree is up and twinkling with cand

Seek First
In these past several months following my husband’s passing, the Lord’s answer to my queries have continuously been, Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. (Matthew 6:33). After the second answer of Seek Him first, I wrote it on my board in my prayer closet as a reminder that this is what He wants me to do. How easy it is to want to do everything else but that. I sought Him first about going to specific conferences to have a ministry table in order to make

On Time
We are so programmed to believe something has to happen on a certain time frame, in a particular way, and if it doesn’t then we get into a fretful dither and begin to take matters into our own hands, and we may even begin to doubt that prayer works. God’s Word is our solid ground to walk on, and it cannot fail us, because He will not fail us. However, we are no different than Martha and her sister Mary, who had sent and asked for the Lord Jesus to come because their brot

Come
My husband received many wonderful insights into the deeper truths of Scripture from the Holy Spirit while he spent time alone with the Father in prayer. One such deeper truth was that Peter did not walk on the water–he walked on the Word! When the Lord Jesus said to Peter, Come , then you can mark it down that the water was about to get walked on because Jesus Christ said, Come! Peter began to sink when he took his eyes off of the Lord Jesus Christ and began looking at th

Gratitude
My husband often referred to this quote, “What if all you had today was what you were thankful for yesterday?” Whether he was preaching to a congregation, recording a radio broadcast or in conversation with individuals, he often challenged Christians to be thankful. I have handwritten notes and cards from my husband thanking me for various things like keeping a clean house and being willing to travel with him in evangelism, which I have kept and treasure even more now that he

Lamp unto my Feet
Ever since my beloved husband went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ and the decision was made to continue the Tom Williams Ministries in order that his Spirit filled messages of the Gospel could be carried on into the next generation, I have felt like I’ve been groping in the dark and wondering how in the world do I do this? So many ideas came hurdling toward me by various ones that I felt overwhelmed, for though the ideas were great, the question remained looming over me—H

The Purpose of this Blog
My husband, Dr. Tom Williams, who was known as the Cowboy Preacher and a man of prayer and faith experienced many difficult and challenging tomorrows in his life before he went home to Heaven. He named his radio program, Facing Tomorrow, and often said, “We don’t know what tomorrow holds, but as a child of God we know Who holds tomorrow, and we can rest secure in the One (Jesus Christ) who holds our hand.” Therefore, I decided to continue the title, Facing Tomorrow, in thi
