My husband, Dr. Tom Williams, who was known as the Cowboy Preacher and a man of prayer and faith experienced many difficult and challenging tomorrows in his life before he went home to Heaven. He named his radio program, Facing Tomorrow, and often said, “We don’t know what tomorrow holds, but as a child of God we know Who holds tomorrow, and we can rest secure in the One (Jesus Christ) who holds our hand.” Therefore, I decided to continue the title, Facing Tomorrow, in this blog as it was born out of my own desire to hold on to faith after my dear husband went on to Heaven which has made the future feel uncertain. I want this space to remind you—as it reminds me—that no matter what tomorrow brings, God is already there. My prayer is that each word shared here will help you stand a little stronger, trust a little deeper, and rest a little more in His promises. May this be a place to encourage us to pause, breathe, and find courage for the days ahead while purposing to inspire a steadfast faith that looks beyond fear and stands firm on the promises of God. Each entry will be posted with the intent to remind us that the Lord is strong, faithful, and ready to carry us through. May your heart be strengthened, your hope renewed, and your courage anchored in His unchanging Word. I have come to lean heavily upon Deuteronomy 31:8, which says, "And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed"
Together, let’s face tomorrow with courage, knowing our hope and strength are safe in the Lord’s hands.
