His Thoughts

Isn’t it true that in our lowest moments the tempter comes to tempt us to believe we are alone in our difficulty, or no one cares, or any number of temptations to think we have been deserted, forgotten or neglected? I don’t know where you are emotionally as you read this, but let me encourage you to resist the devil’s temptations with God’s Word! Declare to the tempter that God’s Word says, Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numberedPsalm 40:5.  We are not forgotten, because our Lord is continually thinking of us, and His thoughts toward us are more than can be numbered.  And not only that, but His Word also says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end—Jeremiah29:11.  His thoughts toward us are of peace with an expected end!  How wonderful is that!  He thought of my husband when he was walking through the difficult time when his wife, Pam, was first hospitalized with Bacterial Meningitis. He testified many times that after leaving the hospital's financial office that he would step into an elevator and begin to tell the Heavenly Father his need. He would begin his prayer with, Father, it's Tom, to which the Heavenly Father would reply, I know. Be encouraged today that our gracious Father in Heaven is thinking of each one of His children; therefore, Christian brother and sister, He is thinking of you!  Whatever trial you are in, our Lord is thinking of you. The Lord Jesus said, The Father Himself loveth you—John 16:27; therefore His thoughts toward us are loving thoughts.  I’m sure all of us, at some time or another, have been told by others: Call me if you need anything.  Then when the difficulty comes to our life, and we call those who have told us to call, then they respond with, I’m sorry, but I’m not able to at this time, or they don’t respond at all.  That’s when we have to remember, as my husband would say, people are just people, and you and I make up that group of people who are just people.  Rather than yield to the tempter at those times, turn to the Word of God and declare the truth which will cause the tempter to flee.  My husband continually said, God will meet your needs.  And He will meet your needs!  He is there for us and will always be there for us.  He asked Abraham, Is anything too hard for the Lord? He will meet us in our time of need—whatever the need may be, because He is thinking of us continually.

Here is a sneak peak of my devotional book, Well of Living Water.

For Mother's Day, we are running a sale, 2 for $25. Here is what a couple people have said about the book: “I purchased this book for my mother and also for a dear friend. I cannot even begin to explain what a blessing it is! The author, Jeannine, takes the time to carefully point out scriptures that back up what she is saying. She writes from her own experience, and it is a daily devotional. I should say it is a daily encouragement to strengthen your walk with the sweet Lord Jesus. You will find yourself smiling, praising and rejoicing all through the book! Truly, this book is a wonderful gift from God!”

“Well of Living Water is a devotional for everyone! This was a gift given to me by my cousin. In the introduction, Jeannine Williams states that God gave us a personal love letter—the Bible. She bases each day's devotion on that love letter, to give further insight on how to apply God's Word to our lives. There are also poems throughout that direct us to our Savior, are based in Scripture, and often precede or follow the theme of a devotion. This devotional is written for 365 days in a year but is not specific to a date. I have read other devotions that are according to the date, and if I miss a day, I feel behind. This devotion is written so I can just pick up and start reading from where I left off—not behind, but continuing to sit at the feet of my Lord!”
