Pray One for Another

One of the things my husband was greatly known for was prayer. God had taken him through the school of prayer by fiery trials, and as a result, he knew how to get hold of God in prayer. When his wife, Pam, was in the hospital, he testified that after having been to the financial office where they told him he needed $3000.00 by 3:00 pm that day in order to continue her care, he got on an elevator alone and prayed. He spoke with the heavenly Father saying, “Father, it’s Tom. The hospital needs $3000.00 today.” A short while later he received word from a church that they sent $3500.00. When he taught prayer, one of the lessons he taught was the simplicity of prayer—simply telling the Father the need. On a daily basis we are going to find ourselves in need, and that is why my husband made an effort to exhort Christians everywhere that prayer is essential for daily living. Whatever the need is, we can take it to God in prayer, and in simple humility present it to Him soliciting His help. Humbling ourselves in His sight by admitting to Him that we need His help glorifies Him. Praying one for another pleases Him.
I am grateful that the Lord has directed to keep the Tom Williams Evangelistic Ministry going so that we can continue to get the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to others. It is my privilege and honor to work on getting the Spirit filled preaching and teaching of my husband into the lives of others, especially of the next generation, but it is a challenging task, and I, along with those helping me, need your prayers.
Listen to this segment of one of Dr. Williams' sermons:
Would you please pray with me for the following requests?
Please pray that God would show me His ways—How He wants each project accomplished. Projects like this blog, our goal to have a podcast, the tasks of putting his preaching and teaching into practical helps such as, devotionals, Bible studies, small group studies, and so on.
The tools and means to carry out each task to completion believing that He will supply.
The faith to continue in light of present obstacles.
Please pray that God would teach me His paths—wisdom to make decisions according to His will.
Courage to obey though it seems daunting.
Please pray that God would lead me in His truths—that I would trust Him explicitly and not waiver, but stand firm on His Word.
Pray that lost souls would be saved and Christians strengthened and helped.
Please pray that the Spirit of Christ would be continually evident in all thatI is done through this ministry.
May we, as the Bible exhorts, pray one for another. Please let us know by either commenting here, emailing us at tomwilliams@twwm1.com or messaging us what prayer needs you have. It would be our honor to pray for you. It is my desire that we may become a community of prayer, praying one for another, lifting one another up to our Heavenly Father in the name of His Son Jesus Christ.
